DTF Transfer Instructions

ALL TRANSFERS MUST BE APPLIED WITH A HEAT PRESS!!! WE ARE NOT RESPONISBLE FOR TRANSFERS APPLIED INCORRECTLY.
Sometimes the prints develop an oily substance between the prints and the film.  This is due to climate changes and being in the carrier trucks. Inks are water based and is bound to happen.  They will go away once the transfer is pressed and heat is applied (usually after your 2nd press).

DTF (DIRECT TO FILM) TRANSFER INSTRUCTIONS:
  • Check what blend your shirt is and use the following temperatures. Start with the lowest time and if need be up your time if you notice the print starting to lift off. Make sure you have a teflon sheet in between your shirt.
    • 100% Polyester- 275 degrees for 8-10 secs
    • 50% Polyester/ 50% Cotton- 285 degrees for 10-12 secs
    • 100% Cotton- 300 degrees for 12-15 secs

  • Pre-Press the shirt/material for 5 seconds to remove moisture.
  • Make sure you press with firm pressure and avoid any seams, zippers, pockets, buttons, ect.  A pressing pillow may be needed.
  • Use the above times/temps and press the shirt/material (Make sure your using a teflon sheet in between your shirt). Press with HEAVY pressure. These transfers are a COLD peel so as soon as you have finished pressing, remove the shirt from the heat press with the transfer still attached and set aside until completely cooled.
  • After cooled, slowly remove film and repress shirt for 10 seconds with a teflon sheet in between your shirt and on top of your print.
